Termination Notice - Submit at least 30 days prior to moving out
All tenants must submit an online Termination Notice at least 30 days prior to vacating their dwelling.
Tenants whose Termination Notice has been received will receive an acknowledgement message and further instructions on their message board.
Tenants who provide less than 30 days' notice will be liable for rent and electric charges for 30 days after their Termination Notice is received, or until someone else moves into the dwelling, whichever occurs first. Dwellings will be posted online as soon as possible, but will not be available for a new tenant to move-in for a minimum of five to six business days after the dwelling is vacant to provide adequate time for custodial and maintenance to prepare the dwelling.
Tenants who wish to move out sooner than their submitted date may submit a Petition for 30-Day Liability Decrease.
Any requests to modify or withdraw a Termination Notice must be reviewed and approved by the Housing Review Board through a petition. Petitions may be found under "Petitions and Forms" in the "Families" tab.
All personal property must be removed and all cleaning must be completed no later than midnight on the move-out date indicated on the Termination Notice.
Any personal belongings left behind will be considered abandoned and will be removed and disposed of.
Tenants will be charged a disposal fee for abandoned items, and will be charged damage and/or cleaning fees if the dwelling is not left clean and in good condition.
