Toggle ItemHow can I find out my spot on the waitlist?
We’re not able to provide exact waitlist positions, as placements can change frequently. However, if you have questions about your status, feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
If you’ve submitted a Waitlist Request within the past 18 months, it remains valid until the original 18-month expiration date, even if you submit a new request during that time.

Toggle ItemHow can I find a different dwelling?
If you're currently living in Wymount Terrace or Wyview Park and want to move to a different unit, you can submit a Dwelling Transfer Request.
Here’s what to know before submitting:
- Only the tenant listed on the billing account can submit the request.
- Your request will be added to the Family Housing Waiting List.
- Dwellings are offered based on your original agreement date—not when you submit the transfer request.
- You won’t be offered a dwelling with an availability date less than four months from your current agreement start date.
- If you see a unit on the Available Dwellings page that meets that timeline, you may be eligible to complete an agreement.
- A $50 transfer fee will be charged for approved transfers.

Toggle ItemWhat should I do if my spouse is not a BYU student?
Both you and your spouse will need to be part of the housing contract process. Here’s what to do:
- Make sure your spouse has a BYU NetID. If they don’t, they can create one here.
- Log in to myaccount.byu.edu/relationships and add your spouse to your BYU account using the same NetID or BYU ID they will use for the housing contract.
Completing these steps ensures your spouse will be recognized in the system and can be included in the housing agreement.
